on Dec 10th, 2009Because I wanted to

Graveyard plus a statue plus my thrifty fifty equals this one. I am really falling in love with my nifty fifty, so much so that I am thinking of getting the eightfive or the faster fifty.

on Dec 9th, 2009I totally forgot to post this a while back.

This pano comes from on top of Wayah Bald. Bald as in the top part of a mountain without and trees. Wayah from an old indian word meaning wolf. Some on top of a hairless wolf comes this pano of the mountains of western North Carolina.

on Dec 8th, 2009This one was my favorite

This kid was very believable, in his role. I caught him by surprise. I wish I could make people ignore me, but they all want to smile and wave. He didn't have time to do so.

on Dec 7th, 2009This man I don’t think was acting

He was sitting in a window with his feet soaking in a tube of water. I don't think he was acting, I think he snuck into a shoe store and climbed up into the window.

on Dec 6th, 2009Traditional Christmad Puppy Dog

If you read the explanation of yesterdays photo, you would understand where this photo came from. It was traditional because a hundred years ago or more, Santa couldn't afford reindeer, so he had cute little puppy dogs pull they sleigh. The smallest puppy dog wasn't allowed to help so he stayed home and played with Mrs. Clause.

on Dec 5th, 2009My coworkers liked this one the most

Last night in Downtown Franklin, they had this fun Christmas event. The shops were all decorated and many had people dressed up in outfits from days long ago, in their charming outfits they would reenact traditional arts and crafts and such.

on Oct 7th, 2009The flow of time

Sometimes we have good days. Sometimes we take a few moments and slow down. We pull ourselves out of time and the world goes on without us for a few minutes. Modern civilization continues and we get to enjoy the beauty of the world and the delight of being outside. However, like all things, this to shall change. Delight becomes Delirium and the world and time itself catches back up with us with the flow and force of a great waterfall. In all the confusion and chaos you ask "are those fish flying through the air?" Eventually though we find our footing and with much hesitation and trepidation we rejoin the world. Also part of the movie "Last of the Mohicans" was filmed here.

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my angel gently weeps
I look at you all
Still my angel gently weeps

on Oct 5th, 2009The balance of white

The man from Greenvalley went for a walk with his camera one day. He was in a strang little land that reminded him of his home. Many of the names were the same, but that which they named were not. The river had almost the same name, but were very different, this new river was small and slow. The bridges were not as big and there were fewer people around. This land also had a city of rock, but it wasn't a magical convergence of the new world, it instead sold rocks. The man from Greenvalley who was walking with his camera in a strange bizzaro land did the only thing he could do. He took strange bizzaro photos.

on Oct 2nd, 2009Keep on walking man

I took this photo when I was out walking the greenway with my camera. I have walked on the greenway everyday for the last week and some of those days I brought my camera. Some of those days the sky looked really great. This was one of those days.
