on Nov 28th, 2007Nearing the End
As I write this I am nearing the end of NaBloPoMo 2007 and also nearing the end of this semester. Today I turned in my philosophy paper and we did the obligatory instructor/class evaluation sheets. My philosophy professor was nice enough to remind us that super-cool is in fact hyphenated in case we wished to use it to describe him. My paper had about 1.5 – 2.0 pages of recycled content from my philosophy posts on here, so go blogging. After class I came home and grabbed a couple of minutes of shut eye, since I was up until 5:30am working on papers.
This evening was the last regularly scheduled International Economics Class. This class also had the instructor/class evaluation to complete. Before class I heard many students discussing how difficult the last test was and that they feared that they did very poorly on the test. When the professor said he was going to do the evaluation before handing back the last test I think our worst fears were confirmed.
The test though did not prove to be as disappointing as I think most were expecting. The overall grades were skewed higher than the first test. There was in total one more A and one fewer F on this exam collectively. The professor singled me out for an example of what we didn’t want to do on the test and that was to do strongly on the first questions and relatively poorly on the last questions. This did not make me feel any better. When he was handing my test back to me he made a point of telling me that the curve helped me a good deal.
I looked down at the final grade on my exam. I had an A. After class I learned that I had the highest grade on this test. Knowing that the only person who had a higher grade than me on the last test made a C on this test I concluded that I now had to have the overall highest grade in the class at this point. The highest grade in the entire class was the lowest possible grade to have and still have an A.
Right now I have to get back to work writing some journal summaries for my Pollution Controls Engineering Class. I don’t want to think about the presentation we have to do in there tomorrow. It shouldn’t be hard though, I will just present the section of the group project that I wrote.

congrats on the A and on finishing the semester
Thanks Katy, I also finished NaBloPoMo!
