on Jan 9th, 2008The Best Portrait Model Ever!

Last night the Chattanooga Photo group I belonged to was looking at Do It Yourself lighting techniques. I think I am about ready to set up a portable kit for indoor portrait work. I will need some PVC tubbing, some white fabric and a couple of shop lights. Sounds like fun I know.

I had a blast that evening and it was all due to having the best portrait model I could ever imagine, Stephanie. By best I mean a couple of things. First, of all she is unbelievably beautiful. There are some pictures below you can click on – but you will still not believe how beautiful she is. Second she was so very patient. I think we spent the better part of two hours with her under hot lights while photographers were buzzing around her. Third, she was great at modeling. She said she had never done this before, but I think she may not have told us the truth. Lastly, she is very down to earth. I can’t think of anyone who I have ever enjoyed photographing so much before.

Once again I want to thank Stephanie. I also want to thank Matt for the great resources he brings to the group and the skills he passes on. I hope no one tells him that he could charge for classes like he taught yesterday.

she is truly a great subject. but I think the photographer isn’t all that bad either ;) . To bad I don’t live closer I’d love to go to these meetings and learn more about photography. Hell I’d love to just learn more about my camera and how to get all the settings right.

You should look to see if there is a group near you. Google it, check yahoo groups and google groups. I bet you can find something. There is usually a good range of beginners to experts in a group like that so you could find a place to fit in and learn.
