on Feb 15th, 2008Friday 55 Number 3

Times where good and times were bad. Always she dulled the
senses. The fire and ash hid her fears. The fire and
ash dulled the dreadful pains. The fire and ash crushed the
joys with equal fury. The fire and ash created someone else
unable to feel the pain, unable to feel the human joys.

    Holy shit, Sir It.

(Dude, that rhymes. And that’s hilarious. T-shirt.)

    Your 55 is AWESOME.

It conveys SO MUCH EMOTION in such a few short lines and you really get a feel for the character and it’s great! So great!!!

    Wow.

    Wow. Wow. Wow.

I know someone like this actually. You just wanna shake ‘em and jump on-top of them until they feel something no matter what it takes.

Something, as in anything. Good, bad, easy, hard, angry, happy, sad, glad, mad, ANYTHING.

Because you know the reason they’re like that is cos at one time….at one point….they felt something so MUCH….they just can’t feel any more.

    :(

The highs and the lows – can’t have one without the other. Not only can they not feel anymore, they are unwilling to feel. Sometimes they find new ways just to avoid the feelings.

    Thanks Strumpet.

I think she was like a really bad drug.
    Addictive. Habit forming.
    Very good, Jared

Thanks little wing. There are bits of lots of people I have met in there. Someone of them – yes would fit your description.

*avoids the pitfall of calling you a “young man”* Great 55, old man! I don’t think I have met anybody so flat, so lacking of emotion. But I do know what you’re talking about… I have at times been hurt so badly that I wished I could be that person. I can’t, though. To stop feeling, even pain, is to stop living.

Thanks Smarmoofus. I haven’t known any single individual that was all that flat but I have known people with parts of that. Put them together and you get a 55.
