Last April I wrote a post about the dinner for the Economics Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and that I was honored to be accepted. A couple of weeks ago I got an email from the professor who currently runs the honor society. He wanted me to come by his office and to plan on going to this years honor society dinner as a guest of the Economics Department.
I went by his office the next day and he told me why I should be there. Every year the Economics Department awards the top two graduating Economics Majors with the Fred Armstrong Award and they normally present the award at the honor society dinner. I suppose you have figured out the part where I get invited to the dinner, the Economics Department is presenting me with the Fred Armstrong award. The professor told me that I must have worked hard and that I deserved it. I didn’t know what to say, but I was really happy and really honored.
Now I hope this years dinner lives up to last years and we see a couple of experienced economists argue. Economist love to argue.

I don’t like to argue, but I do enjoy debating and discussion about opinions.
I suppose, on that note, we could argue that all those are the same thing.

That was last year when I went. This years is next Thursday. Last Year I joined the honor society, this year I am receiving an award at the honor society.
