Today we arrive at the second best piece of news and excitement currently in my life. What could be better than finishing my degree and receiving honors for it? How about getting published? That is right, several of my photographs are going to be published in a limited run book about and distributed in my city.
On October 30th I was contacted by someone who had seen some of my photos on the popular social photography site flickr.com. I have mentioned a couple of times since then working on a secret project, and this is the project. I emailed the photo editor for the book many many times. I posted probably a couple of hundred different photos in private galleries for them to look through. On February 11th I received a purchase order for my photographs, 9 of them, that will be in the book. Last week I was paid for them. I didn’t want to say anything until I knew for certain and getting paid is pretty certain. The book should actually be available sometime next month or in May. I will let you know more when I get actually details about the publication.
Stay tuned tomorrow when I tell you my best news this week. It is a big one and I am really excited.
