I have enabled comment moderation on the Daily Photo. The software that I run the Daily Photo on isn’t as flexible as the software I run the journal on. What that means is that all comments for right now on the Daily Photo will only show up after I approve them whereas the journal comments only have to be approved for first time posters.

I know you are wondering what is up with the big brother comment moderation. The short answer is comment spam. The way my blog is set up, comments on the the journal and Daily Photo also appear on the main page. This gives the comment spammers two spams for the price of one. I do have Akismet running on both blogs, however the new batch of spammers are slipping through and that is unacceptable. The journal comments are held for moderation for all first time posters. The Daily Photo doesn’t have this ability so until the spammers go away or there is an update to the Daily Photo software the Daily Photo comments will be moderated. I promise you it is nothing personal, I love my readers and I hope you never go away.
