on Nov 1st, 2008It is that time of year again.

That is correct, it is National Blog Posting Month again.  Some of you out there might be playing along with Blog365 and if so, than you can kill two stones with one bird this month and blog every day in November.  The daily photo has been feeding Blog365 for me.  However, it felt like it would be a cheat if I used the daily photo to satisfy NaBloPoMo. So I am going to be attempting to Blog in the Journal every day this month.

You shouldn’t think it is easy though, November is a tough month to post every day.  November has that famous holiday that many people like to celbrate by eating way more than they should. Thats right, I am talking about Pocky Day! All kidding aside, Thanksgiving is a big challange for the NaBloPoMo’ers out there. That is where I am lucky, in that I am not planing on going home for Thanksgiving.  That is right, I am going to stay right here in Franklin and work hard.  My dad is planing on coming up for the holiday though so that should be nice.

Right now I am hoping to use this month to tell some stories – most of them will be fictional because those are much more entertaining than the stories form my real life. I guess that is all Ihave to say tonight. Wish me luck.

    Ha!

Kill two stones with one bird.

SO much more nice than killing two birds.

By the way, how has the veggie thing been going for you?

With as long as I’ve been away, I probably will blog every day this month, but you never know.

    Happy November, It!

    xo

The veggie thing has been ok.
I have come close to moments of weakness, but I survived.
I got a steamer last weekend and it is amazing for rice, veggies and fish.

    Congratulations!

    What is a steamer exactly?

Is it a microwavable frozen dish?

If so, the one you purchased sounds great, so maybe you can tell me what it is and I will buy it.

    It sounds way healthy.

I wonder if they have a brown rice version.

    A steamer…. I am so intrigued.

    Yummyness.

A steamer is a food steamer. It cooks by using steam.

Here is my model Oyster 5712

It makes perfect rice and the veggies don’t get all soggie.

Did it come with a recipe book?

If so, I may have to go out and buy one.

    It looks pretty coolass.

I don’t have anything like that.

It came with a big list of cook times and is super easy to clean.
Messy things I wrap in tinfoil and let it go to town.

    Okay, yeah.

I gotta go out and buy one of these suckers once I start making some money.

    It’s gonna rock.

I just have to find somewhere to put it.

    Or make room somewhere.

Do you keep it on your counter-top, or to you keep it tucked away in a cabinet?

I keep it on my counter but in all fairness I have a nice sized counter with a bunch on it and a very small kitchen. I use it to often to put it up.
