on Nov 9th, 2008Mild Technical Diffuculties

Yes my friends I am having technical difficulties. My trusted and hard working Laptop is on the verge of giving up the ghost. My beautiful BlackBook just doesn’t want to turn on tonight. This means a couple of things.

1) it is time to go Mac shopping. The new Macbooks are glorious, but truth be told I need more horsepower for photo editing. An iMac might be in my future.

2) I can’t edit photos right now. :(  This means that there might not be a photo of the day until I can edit again.

3) I am having to write this on my old windows box. That makes me sad also. Me being sad and writing on a windows box means no Sci Fi for you tonight.

4) I am getting to use Chrome some more and that is nice. If you are stuck on a windows box, Google Chrome is the browser to use.

I know what you are thinking. You are screaming NO inside your head. No, no daily photo! No, no Sci Fi tonight (BTW I was just rewatching the BSG mini series – it has been so long since I have seen Tigh without an eye patch, it is creepy!) You are also say NO, you have to have a laptop! You are technology guy, how could you live without a laptop? Here is what I am thinking, unless some blessed soul sends me a MacBook or a MacBook pro, I think I might go with the iMac and get a netbook.  I have seen several nice ones for under 400 and they are very portable.

I will update  you later on my computer situation, but let this be a lesson to you. You should always have a minimum of 3 ways of getting online in your house.

    A minimum of three ways?

    I’m lucky I have one.

And even that one is not that dependable.

I am sending Good Techie Vibes to you, Sir It.

    Do you feel them?

You should feel them, at a MINIMUM, in at least three ways.

I actually have four ways of getting online in various ways. My windows desktop. My Mac Laptop. My iPod gets online and if worse comes to worse I can use my cell phone.
